Pin Fin Heatsinks

In the right environment, pin fin heatsinks can perfectly solve the problem of a hot component. These heatsinks consist of an array of high conductivity copper or aluminum circular pins standing atop a rectangular heatsink base. The figure below shows an example of a pin fin heatsink.
